The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Warriors Party
Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, demons, and sinister influences expanding in power within the urban setting.
Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Introduced
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of characters who will separate from the main group to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Soldiers Table
According to the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
First, the team knows exactly where to head next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Moreover, each character has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to eliminate the target and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could help the group access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:
- Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- Tyranny and The healer defied the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This leaves them little choice but to head to the northern region in search of the traitor.
Upcoming Developments
Based on episode three’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the participants to round up the Explorers and Planners tables.
Viewers can expect learning which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, released on next week.
